Glanz Taketa Multi-purpose Cultural Centre

Taketa is a popular with visitors and people looking for a life in the countryside. Taketa is replete with history, appealing townscape and verdant hilly countryside, great food, onsen hot springs aplenty and a lively arts and cultural scene. The city has invested a lot in the latter over many years and recently it has rebuilt its cultural centre. Completed in 2018, Glantz Taketa has at its heart a wonderful auditorium that has quickly proved artists and concert goers alike.

Events include performances by both Japanese and overseas classical music artists and orchestras, Japanese theatre, and the locally resident Drum TAO. The latter, take traditional Japanese drumming and fuse it with a modern flamboyance creating exhilarating performances.
