Azul, found in Oita City’s central Takemachi shopping arcade, generally caters to clubbers with an appetite for left of field electronic music, but depending on the night can also find themselves enjoying an eclectic mix of House, Techno, Jazz, Funk/Soul, or Hip Hop. The owner, who goes by the intriguing moniker of Don Tabasco, has gone to great lengths to deliver a truly immersive experience in the main room, delivered by its world class sound system and acoustics. Azul regularly welcomes top DJ talent from across Japan and the rest of the world and is becoming a hotspot amongst Japan’s highly regarded dance music scene for those in the know.
